Heat Pump Specialists
Efficient Heating for a Changing Climate
Air-source heat pumps are the most efficient way to heat your property. By extracting renewable energy from the outside air, a well-specified heat pump delivers three to four units of heat for every unit of electricity consumed — dramatically reducing your energy bills and your carbon footprint.
Air Logic Climate Solutions designs and installs heat pump systems for both commercial and domestic properties across London and the South East. Whether you are replacing an ageing gas boiler, upgrading a commercial heating system or specifying a new-build solution, our engineers deliver the right system for your building.
As an MCS accredited installer, every heat pump we fit qualifies for the government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme — potentially saving you up to £7,500 on the cost of installation. We handle the grant application paperwork on your behalf.
- Air-source heat pump design, supply and installation
- Hybrid heating systems — heat pump combined with existing boiler
- MCS accredited — eligible for BUS grant of up to £7,500
- Full energy performance projections before work begins
- Smart controls, zoning and integration with existing systems
- Commercial VRF heat recovery systems for large buildings
Boiler Upgrade Scheme — Save Up to £7,500
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a government-backed initiative that provides grants of up to £7,500 towards the cost of replacing a fossil fuel heating system with an air-source heat pump. The scheme has been extended to 2028 and is available to homeowners across England and Wales.
As an MCS accredited installer, Air Logic handles the entire BUS application process on your behalf. We confirm your eligibility at the survey stage, submit the paperwork and apply the grant directly to your invoice — so you never have to pay the full amount upfront.
Am I Eligible?
- Your property is in England or Wales
- You are replacing an existing fossil fuel heating system (gas, oil or LPG boiler)
- Your property has a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) with no outstanding loft or cavity wall insulation recommendations
- The installation is carried out by an MCS accredited installer (that's us)
Our Process
From Survey to Handover in Four Steps
Survey & Assessment
Our engineer visits your property to assess the building fabric, existing heating system and heat loss characteristics. We confirm BUS grant eligibility and discuss your requirements.
System Design
We produce a detailed system design with full heat loss calculations, equipment specification and energy performance projections. You receive a fixed-price proposal with the BUS grant already deducted.
Installation
Our in-house engineers carry out the full installation — outdoor unit, indoor components, pipework, controls and integration. Work is planned around your schedule to minimise disruption.
Commissioning & Handover
Every system is fully commissioned, performance tested and handed over with complete documentation, warranty certificates and a full demonstration of your controls and settings.
Why Air Logic
The Right Partner for Your Heating Project
We are not a general plumber who occasionally fits heat pumps. Air Logic Climate Solutions is a specialist HVAC engineering company with deep expertise in heat pump design, installation and commissioning across London and the South East.

Frequently Asked
Common Questions About Heat Pumps
What is a heat pump COP and what should I expect?
COP stands for Coefficient of Performance — it measures how much heat a system produces relative to the electricity it consumes. A modern air-source heat pump typically achieves a seasonal COP of 3.0 to 4.0, meaning for every 1 kW of electricity used, it produces 3–4 kW of heat. This makes heat pumps significantly more efficient than gas boilers, which operate at around 90% efficiency at best.
How long does a heat pump installation take?
A typical domestic air-source heat pump installation takes two to four days, depending on the complexity of the system and any modifications required to your existing heating distribution. Commercial installations vary and are always planned in detail before mobilisation. We provide a clear programme of works at the proposal stage.
Do I qualify for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant?
Most homeowners in England and Wales replacing an existing fossil fuel boiler (gas, oil or LPG) with an air-source heat pump qualify for a grant of up to £7,500. Your property will need a valid EPC with no outstanding loft or cavity wall insulation recommendations. We confirm eligibility at the survey stage and handle all the paperwork on your behalf.
Are heat pumps cheaper to run than a gas boiler?
In most cases, yes. Although electricity costs more per unit than gas, a heat pump's high efficiency (COP of 3–4) means you use far less energy overall. A well-designed heat pump system typically reduces heating costs by 25–30% compared with a gas boiler. We provide detailed running cost projections as part of every proposal, so you can see the savings before committing.
How noisy is an air-source heat pump?
Modern air-source heat pumps are remarkably quiet. The outdoor unit typically operates at around 40–45 dB at one metre — roughly the volume of a library or a quiet conversation. We always carry out an acoustic assessment and position the outdoor unit to minimise any impact on you or your neighbours, in accordance with MCS planning standards.
Which heat pump brands do you install?
We are manufacturer independent and specify the best system for your property. We install heat pumps from leading brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Samsung and Vaillant. Our recommendation is always based on performance, reliability and suitability for your building — never on a single-brand partnership.
